Boo FC vs AE FC

A day before this match members of Boo FC participated in the Kilanas football tournament. They went by the name Chargers Juniors 'B'. They reached the final and had to face Chargers Juniors 'A'. The trophy was CJ B's to claim after they came back from behind, the game ended 2-1 thanks to Izzat and Nawi for the goals. Congratulations Chargers Juniors 'B'!!! (B is for boo! hahah)

Basically, confidence was on a high and plus their previous victories, Boo FC was more than ready to face off against AE FC. The game ended 7-1 (a record win) after a brace from both Marul and Pojan and also goals from Nawi, Mirul and Muen.

The team in full: Pojan(C), Marul (VC), Gryn, Syam, Mamad, Azeq, Nawi, Izzat, Nahri, Muen, Awie and Mirul.

Boo FC stuck with the 4-5-1 formation: Marul opened the scoring with a sweet finish after their defender failed to properly clear the ball. This was followed up by a goal from Pojan who took the shot with his weaker right foot. Nawi then opened his account for Boo FC after he scored with an awesome freekick from the right wing. Mirul too scored his first for the team after a freak goal. His cross from the left went straight into the goal. WOWER! The opposition managed to score after a miscommunication between the defenders and goalie. Nice finish by the striker. Pojan then got his second after a pass from Marul broke Pojan free and he made a great run from the left and into the box and then took the shot, again with his weaker foot.

For the second half, Nahri was fielded in place of Azeq. He partnered Izzat in midfield while Nawi dropped into the backline. Mamad was moved to the left back position. The second half was a completely different game as the opposition turned their game up a notch. It was getting harder to break their midfield and defence down. Even so, Marul grabbed his second with a great header after a corner by Mirul. The opposition had a shot saved on the line by Gryn and another one by Awie with an out-of-this-world save! Boo FC had to play the last five minutes with ten players as Syam had to leave the field due to an 'injury'. They had no subs to spare. Muen then ended the goal spree with a close range tap-in in the dying minutes.

A great attacking game by Boo FC and with three consecutive victories, Boo FC is really looking forward to the K-League. Wish us luck! XD

Man of the match vs TM: Your vote

I decided to close the poll in advance and declare Dayat as MAN OF THE MATCH! His speed, both on and off the ball, his defence splitting passes and above all, his work rate caught the eye of his fellow teammates. A very successful debut for the winger indeed. CONGRATULATIONS SONIC!

Boo Fc vs Tasek Meradun

Celebrate the day! Why? Because Boo FC just recorded their biggest win ever when they won against Tasek Meradun 8-3. Thanks to a treble from Marul, a double from Pojan and goals from Mamad (PK), Izzat and Safwat respectively.

The team in full: Pojan(C), Marul(VC), Safwat, Gryn, Mamad, Syam, Azeq, Nawi, Izzat, Awie, Dayat, Afiq and Ridhuan.

Boo FC decided to play with a 4-5-1 formation:Pojan gave boo fc the lead when he scored an early goal. Unfortunately, they managed to equalise after a thunderbolt shot. Prior to their goal, they were given a penalty when Awie brought their striker down. Luckily, he was on his toes as he managed to save the kick. Five points for the man, hahah. Boo fc regained the lead when Marul scored his second goal in as many games. Being unfamiliar with the CB role, Azeq moved into midfield while Pojan dropped into the back four. The only change made was between Afiq and Mamad. With the introduction of Mamad, Pojan and Azeq resumed their respective roles but this time Azeq was deployed as a left back. Boo fc was awarded a penalty after a handball. Mamad was asked to step up and the young Bruneian made no mistakes as he scored his first goal. Another goal by Marul followed right before halftime.





Second half:

Changes were made for the second half due to Awie's injury. Azeq played between the sticks while Nawi dropped into the heart of defence as Mamad was moved to the right. Afiq was reintroduced into the back four in place of Syam. Izzat partnered Safwat in the centre of midfield. Like the first half, Pojan started the scoring followed by Marul and thus completing his hat-trick. Izzat scored on his debut with a sweet flick after a corner by Pojan. Most teams will just give up when all seems lost but not Tasek Meradun. They played their football and was rewarded with two more goals, making the scoreline 7-3. Respect to the opposition! Before the final whistle Safwat added another from long range for the in form Boos.

Boo fc vs Mo Man Tai

Last Wednesday (18/03/09), boo fc played their first game of the year. It was a friendly against Mo Man Tai and the game ended with boo fc emerging victorious with a scoreline of 3-0. All the goals came in the second half. Pojan scored twice and in between those two goals, Marul managed to add one more.

Boo fc started the game with a 4-4-2 formation as shown below:(BTW, the keeper's name is Najib, not Nabil. Sorry man, hahah) Midway through the first half, Afiq came on in place of Syam who was facing fitness issues. This was the only change made. Following the still goalless game, Pojan decided to change the formation from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1:

Fizi came in place of Afiq while Syam was reintroduced back into the game but this time as part of the back four. The change in tactics proved to be a masterstroke move as it resulted in not one, not two but three goals! Overall, superb team performance!

Next game will be against AE FC on Saturday, 28/03/09.
