Boo FC lost to Asi UTD 2-1. Ihsan scored twice for Asi Utd while Pojan scored from the spot in between Asi's two goals. The match however, drew controversy as Ihsan was clearly offside when he scored his second.
The team in full: Pojan(C), Marul(VC), Safwat, Dayat, Mirul, Nawi, Afiq, Wajdi, Gryn, Mamad, Awi, Azeq, Syam, Riduan, Adib, Kamal.
Boo fc played in a 4-5-1 formation with Marul playing the role of a lone striker while Pojan was placed just behind him. Safwat and Nawi was placed in the heart of midfield while Mirul and Dayat played on the wings. The defensive backline included Afiq, Wajdi, Gryn, Mamad and Awi.
The first half went on with Asi dominating the attack but Boo FC's sturdy defence kept them at bay. The crowd was roaring especially the Boo supporters, credits to that one particular person for turning them on! xp hahah The first half didnt stay goalless though as the opposition's striker manage to take advantage of our defence and scored with a great shot.
Boo FC made two changes for the second half; Kamal for Afiq and Riduan for Mamad. Marul moved into midfield as Nawi was dropped into defence. Riduan played on the right wing while Dayat was asked to play as the striker. The change proved successful as it resulted in a goal for the boos. A punt from one of our players was enough to send Dayat running. He outran the last man and evaded the keeper but was then brought down in the box. Surely a penalty was rewarded. Pojan took the kick and scored! The crowd went wild!! OOOOOWEEEEEEE!!!!!
Now here comes the controversial part. The opposition created space and pulled a shot. The ball hits the crossbar and rebounded itself into the path of their striker who was metres away behind our last man. The striker took the shot and he scored. He was clearly offside but the flag stayed down and the goal stood. The game stayed 2-1 in favour of ASI UTD until the final whistle. A poor start to the campaign for the boos but hopefully, they'll bounce back! GO BOOS!!!

Ihsan's goal was NOT offside... He was clearly onside when Dauz took the shot.. This was stated by the match official (4th referee), outside the field,
ReplyDeletethis is what happened: When Dauz took the shot, Ihsan was in-lined with the central defender, but, their left back was a bit front of him (This is why they thought that Ihsan was offside), then the ball hit the crossbar and Ihsan ran after it, bounced and took the winning goal...
But hey, HE RAN AFTER THE SHOT WAS TAKEN, this is how the linesman judge weather he is offside or not...
So, that is how the linesman do when he judged the offside position,
Let say you are that striker and you have the situation like that, are you going to said to the referee that my goal was offside and shouldn't be counted???? I don't think so!!! You would say that is my goal... aren't ya??
but after the match, ihsan said that, HE WAS OFFSIDE !!!!!
